Living Groups
Chapter Eighty Five.

I realized that no girl whom I've written about in LG has remained friends with me for too long afterwards and perhaps I have no right to write about the people I care about where they can all read it.

Most people don't like characters based on them to have flaws, even if the flaws are really insightful and well-written-of. I have problems with that because I always try to show how the characters are flawed so that the character seems more human, more real, and so the reader empathizes with him or her.

I have had *loads* of experience with offending people with LG, because people are never content with my descriptions of them unless I lie and make them all nicey-nice. I know I'll never be able to describe a single person accurately, so I pick the single most distinguishing thing about a person and build a character around it (even naming the character accordingly). That's as close as I can get to the truth, and for the purposes of my stories I rarely need the whole truth, only a sliver of it from my own perspective.
